Here’s a guide to unlocking all cars within Forza Horizon 5’s Hot Wheels expansion, with 10 new cars and five returning Hot Wheels-themed classics.
You may have seen recently that Forza Horizon 5‘s first expansion is now available, for no additional charge if you own one of the fancy additions or for $19.99/£14.99 if not.
The Hot Wheels add-on is fun, and its environment is glorious. With the main aim to become a Hot Wheels Legend, along the way you can include items and cars which in turn can be used in any part of Forza Horizon 5.
There are 10 cars that are new to the game, but also some returning Hot Wheels-themed favourites too, making for 15 in total. Here’s what they are, and how you obtain them.

This is gifted to you once you’ve finished the opening scene. No specific result is requested, just start the Hot Wheels expansion and before the first qualifying event, this will become yours.

Complete the Pro Qualifier ‘Surf’s Down’ within the Hot Wheels Expansion. Rookie rank. This will unlock once you have earned enough Medals to reach the next rank by completing Major and Minor missions.

Subaru WRX STI ARX Supercar 2018
Start at the Hot Wheels Outpost in an S1 class car then complete the Treetops Speed Zone with 1min30s.
Pin this challenge in the Hot Wheels Academy Expert Rank menu. We used a Porsche Taycan Turbo S 2020 rated at 900 for this.
The Horizon Hot Wheels Outpost is right in the middle of the map. Drive or Fast Travel for free to here. Then, open your map. Find the Treetops Speed Zone, which is top right of the Forest Falls area.
Set a waypoint to here and as soon as your close the map, drive as fast as you can. There’s a long straight, that undulates, but the key is braking in time for the one and only 90-degree right turn. Just as you are about the peak the summit of a magnetic track section should be ideal. Don’t forget to use the rewind feature if you get caught out.
Then, simply keep driving through the Speed Zone and pick up the Subaru as a reward.

Chevrolet Hot Wheels Copo Camaro 2018
Complete the ‘Outside, Inside’ challenge. Complete the Forest Edge and the Horizon Nexus Speed Traps within 1 minute 30 seconds in an ‘S1’ Class Car. We completed this with a Porsche Taycan Turbo S rated at 900.

Hot Wheels Bad To The Blade 2012 (BTTB)
Complete the Elite Qualifier ‘Bad to the Blade Runner’. Expert rank. This will unlock once you have earned enough Medals to reach the next rank by completing Major and Minor missions.
Legendary – Class S2, 998
Mosler MT900 GT3 2006
Maintain a speed of 250mph (403 km/h) for five seconds in an S2 class vehicle.
We used a tuned BAC Mono 2014 rated at 990 for this. Once in the car, from the Horizon Hot Wheels Outpost drive down the big straight towards the top of Frest Falls. Keep it straight and keep the throttle pinned and this will be yours.

Brabham BT62 2019
Complete the Supersonic Spiral and the Frozen Rush Speed Zones within two minutes in an S2 class car.
Once again, a tuned BAC Mono 2014 rated at 990. Fast travel, for free, to the Nexus Speed Circuit race event, but don’t take part in it. Then turn left at the hairpin and the Supersonic Spiral Speed Zone will bein.
Fly through this section as quickly as possible, pause, open the map and set a waypoint on the Frozen Rush Speed Zone. Keep driving to it, complete the Speed Zone and this will be yours.
Legendary – Class S2, 974
Sierra Cars #23 Yokohama Alpha 2022
Win the Hot Wheels Goliath event and become the Hot Wheels Legend. Elite rank. This will unlock once you have earned enough Medals to reach the next rank by completing Major and Minor missions.
Legendary – Class A, 800
Hennessey Venom F5 2021
Discover all roads in Hot Wheels Park. You may, or may not, have already completed this during your progress so far. The Legend ranked challenges only unlock once you’ve won the Goliath race, however.
Check your map. All roads that are white you have driven on and therefore discovered. Any that are grey, you have not. Drive on all the grey routes, watch them turn white on the map and keep your eyes peeled on the purple counter on the HUD each time a new road is discovered.
When all roads have turned white, you have driven on all 175 roads.
