Bucyrus’ Eliminators car club is about more than cool cars

Dave Neuman and Dennis Mollenkopf talked about a plan in 1963 for the “Eliminators Auto Club.” The title refers to selected course winners in sanctioned drag racing these types of as Best Stock and Top Modified Class Eliminator. Dave Hancock mentioned they extra a number of buddies from the region to make ideas, including John Kneiremen, Larry Stewart, Rick Kalb, Russ Raifsnyder, Dennis and Bob Mollencopf, Mike Schnabel, Ron Raybuck, Daryl Stephenson and Rick Smith. Skip Krauslock — a staff member in NASCAR in the ’50s and operator of Krauslock Oldsmobile-Cadillac Garage — guided them as a result of creating the engine for it. Eliminators reorganized close to 1998

In the late ’60s customers were being going to school, obtaining married, obtaining families, and the group fell apart. It was reorganized about 1998-99 and Glen Steiner opened his house at that time for month to month conferences new officers were being named and the team actually took off. The club initiated a 50/50 raffle with 50 percent of the proceeds to the winner, and fifty percent to the treasury. The group ongoing to grow to the existing membership of 150 users with the oldest in his early 90s.
